My dear clients, friends and affectionate enemies, its on! I’ll be finessing my wares, both new and classic, in the very first Chicago Renegade Popup Show at the Hideout (1354 W Wabansia) this weekend, June 27-28 11AM-6PM with a truly impressive roster of arty little crafters. As usual, the Renegade team has put together a doozie of an event with food trucks, drinks, and likely a hilarious DJ. I love Renegade DJ’s!! You just never know what to expect from them…. At the Renegade show in San Francisco a few years back the DJ played us out with Mariah Carey’s “You’ll Always be My Baby” as we were packing up. He was only playing vinyl records.

It may tempt you to know, white bronze anatomical heart lockets are BACK! The white bronze is super-tricky to cast so its not always available, but I’ve made some of these special lockets just in time for the Renegade show. Like the original silver locket, my white bronze locket is entirely handmade, with functional elements of the design seamlessly incorporated with the anatomy. The chain threads through the vena cava, allowing the heart locket to hang slightly anterioinferiorly, as it does within the human body, and the descending aorta acts as a secure snap.
