Peggy Skemp Jewelry is made entirely by hand in the USA, cast and fabricated in recycled or certified fair mined metal and meticulously hand finished and polished by the artist. We support sustainable labor and environmental practices, hiring without preference for race, gender or creed. We use traceable gems and metal without any heavy metals or impurities, including nickel-free silver, 10k, 14k, 18k or 22k; white, yellow, rose or green golds. Any diamonds used are Kimberly Certified conflict free. We also have vintage and estate gems to select from, GIA certified diamonds, fine sapphires and many other traceable gems available for your custom designs.
Our goal is to ethically create beautiful, wearable heirloom pieces that pose as intricate sculptural scientific illustrations.
custom orders
Jewelry has traditionally been used as a gifted keepsake to commemorate the most important moments of our lives. Over time, Peggy has made meaningful jewelry to mark engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations as well as in celebration of a successful surgeries. Mothers jewelry is an excellent anytime gift which can incorporate multiple stones, including birthstones.
The price of custom jewelry is calibrated on the spot price of your chosen metal, cost of other materials and time taken to make your jewel. Custom jewelry starts at $450. For orders over $500 a deposit is paid with the balance due upon completion, before shipping. Current turnaround times for custom jewelry range from six weeks to eight months depending on complexity of the design. If you have a timeline in mind for your custom order, be sure to let us know. Most non-custom items ship within 1 week. Please allow 8-12 weeks for custom orders unless other arrangements are made. Most rings are made to order in your size and could take extra time. You will receive a confirmation email when your payment has been received and a second confirmation once your jewelry is ready to ship or has shipped. International customers may be required to pay a duty or tax in order to receive their item. Taxes are the customers' responsibility and are not included in the purchase price. Occasionally international customers must claim their parcels at the customs or post office. Parcels that are not claimed are returned to us within 1-2 months. Refunds cannot be given for shipping on returned parcels.

Your satisfaction is our highest goal. Each piece is polished, repeatedly tested and inspected immediately prior to shipping. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us by email at info@peggyskemp.com within 3 days of receiving your order to arrange a return. Custom orders (including most rings) are not returnable.
Returned merchandise must be sent back pre-paid in its original condition. If your item was received damaged contact us right away. The shipper is responsible for jewelry lost or damaged in transit. Peggy Skemp Jewelry reserves the right to deny credit if the merchandise does not meet these return policy requirements.
All items ship with insurance and delivery tracking. If your jewelry order is being shipped to a place with an insecure mailbox and added insurance or signature confirmation may be needed, please make a note at checkout with special shipping requests, including carriers other than USPS. There may be an additional fee for special shipping. Once the parcel is verified delivered, Peggy Skemp Jewelry is not responsible for mail loss or theft. Refunds can only be given for items that can be sent back or verified lost in the mail.
